The ITIL® 4 Foundation exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, which you must complete within 60 minutes. The exam tests your understanding of ITIL® 4 concepts, including the Service Value System (SVS), the Service Value Chain (SVC), and ITIL® practices.

ITIL® 4 Foundation is the entry-level certification, whereas higher levels such as ITIL® 4 Managing Professional and ITIL® 4 Strategic Leader are more advanced. Foundation provides the core knowledge, while the higher levels focus on specialised skills and leadership in IT service management.

Typically, the ITIL® 4 Foundation course takes about 2 to 3 days of training, depending on whether you take it in-person, online, or through a self-paced format.

Yes, the ITIL® 4 Foundation exam can be taken online through an accredited exam provider. Many courses offer the option to take the exam directly after completing the course.
