Course Overview

Value Stream Mapping is a Lean tool that provides organizations with a holistic view of their processes, helping to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. It is a powerful tool for breaking down silos within an organization, as it encourages collaboration and communication across different departments and functions.

The two-day Value Stream Mapping certification course is a practical and applied program that covers process design, assessment, and improvement using Lean principles. It provides individuals with the necessary knowledge to identify and eliminate waste, shorten lead and cycle times, and improve flow across the IT value chain.

They will also learn about the different types of waste that can occur in processes and how to identify them.
  2. Assessment and improvement: In this section, participants will learn how to assess current processes and identify areas for improvement. They will learn how to use tools such as value stream mapping, process flow analysis, and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Value stream mapping techniques: This section covers the different types of value stream mapping techniques, including current state mapping, future state mapping, and value stream design. An amazing instructor who explained the content very clearly and at a very good pace. This was a good balance and approach to learning in a three day intensive period. I found the worked examples very practical and very relatable to the Defence industry sector I work in.
